摘要

In this translation the Academy of Sciences of the USSR communicates lists the names of candidates to active members (academicians) and the members of the AS USSR, presented on the basis of notice in Izvestiya from 16 + 17) Sepember, 1972. The names are arranged by general subject fields, e.g. mathematics, history, nuclear physics, etc., with each name further identified only by his degree or membership in one of the subsidiary academies.
