Report on Project B17.282 - Truck Wrecker 5 Ton GS, M543, M816.

摘要

Tests were conducted to establish the lift-tow capacity of the Wreckers 5 ton GS, with Winch, Diesel M816, Diesel M543A2 and Petrol M543. The Diamond Reo and Leyland Contractor tractors were used as towed vehicles, being the heaviest at present in the Army inventory. Limitations on handling are discussed and recommendations are made. In addition a method is given whereby the maximum suspended towed load for each wrecker can be determined. (Author)
