Cryogenically-Cooled Microwave Acoustic Delay Devices.

摘要

RF components which provide delay of microwave signals are important elements of deception electronic warfare systems. Acoustic devices are attractive for this application because of their small size and lack of dispersion, but at high frequencies and longer delays the insertion loss is substantial. This report describes work toward the development of cryogenically-cooled sapphire delay devices operating in I/J band (8-20 GHz). (Author)
