Stress Concentration Around Inclined Holes in Pressurized Thick-Walled Cylinders.

摘要

Photoelastic investigation has been conducted to study stress concentration around inclined holes in pressurized thick-walled cylinders. It has been found that an inclination in the transverse plane reduces the stress concentration and an inclination in the meridianal plane increases the stress concentration. Also, the stress concentration depends upon the bore-to-hole diameter ratio among other parameters. (Author)
