摘要

This work contains tabulated data of the Mie volume extinction, absorption, and scattering coefficients, 1/km,as a function of the real part, n,and imaginary part, k,of the complex index of refraction for a wide range of particle size distribution. Lognormal particle size distributions, which possessed geometric mean radii from 0.005micrometers up to 10micrometers in radius, and geometric standard deviation from 1.0up to 2.5,were used in the calculations. The computations were performed at wavelengths 0.55, 0.6943, 1.06, 3.8,and 10.6micrometers. Values of real index of refraction from 0.1up to 6.5and imaginary index values from 0.001up to 8.0were used in the calculations. The results are normalized to a total particle mass of 100micrograms/cu.m. and a particle density of 2.5 g/cu. cm. The computational results will be used to explore the effect of both the real and imaginary part of the index of refraction on transmission in the 0.55-1.06micrometers and 1.06-10.6micrometers wavelength range. This will determine the extent to which the real and imaginary index influences transmission through the atmosphere and its consequential effect on electro-optical systems. (Author)
