Formation of Hydrocarbons from Carbon Monoxide on Rhodium/Alumina Model Catalysts.

摘要

Adsorbed hydrocarbons are produced when tunnel junctions containing carbon monoxide chemisorbed on rhodium/alumina are heated. Two different species can be produced with different reaction conditions. Isotopic substitution with C13O16 and 12C18O, and reference to published spectra allow their identification as formate ions and an ethylidene species. (Author)
