This report presents the results, conclusions and recommendations of an investigation to determine what, if any, characteristics exist in beacon reply data that could be used to identify false target reports generated by ring around. A specific technique, using run length, is suggested. The technique is evaluated via statistical methods and computer simulation. (Author)
