摘要

Cardiopulmonary disease constitute the most significant health problem in the military forces of the NATO countries in terms of death and premature disability. The papers presented at the Aerospace Medical Panel Specialists' Meeting held in London, UK, 24-28 October 1977, provide valuable data on normal values, natural history, performance of testing methods, assessment of newer techniques for disease detection and definition as well as philosophies of determination of fitness to fly.
