The Solution of the Axisymmetric Elastic-Plastic Torsion of a Shaft using Variational Inequalities.

摘要

The axisymmetric elastic-plastic torsion of a shaft subject to the von Mises yield criterion is considered. The problem is reformulated as a variational inequality and it is proved that the problem has a unique solution. Some properties of the solution are derived. (Author)
