A system designed to assess aspects of shipboard environments that affect illness incidence rates aboard deployed U.S. Navy ships is presented in a step-by-step fashion. Included are all procedures, instruments, and parameter estimates necessary for computing expected incidence rates for respiratory illness, dermal disorders, trauma, gastrointestinal illness, and genitourinary illness.
