Development of a Computer Program for Measuring the Compression and Error Sensitivity of Facsimile Coding Techniques

This Technical Information Bulletin (TIB) describes the development of computer programs to measure compression and error sensitivity of facsimile coding techniques. (Author) The Modified Huffman code (one-dimensional) was used as the vehicle to check the validity of the computer programs. Future TIBs will describe computer programs and results obtained on candidate CCITT two-dimensional coding techniques. (Author)
