Simulation of Aeroheating or Aerocooling of Air Force Stores by Arrays of Impinging Jets

The New Jersey Institute of Technology conducted a conceptual study using existing analytical and experimental data to assess the feasibility of using impinging air jets to heat and cool a large structure such as a store. It was found to be feasible to use impinging jets; however, a prediction of the total mass flow of air required was difficult to accomplish because of the lack of data concerning the efficiencies of arrays of impinging jets.
