摘要

This report defines a generalized pharmacophore acetylcholinoreceptor subunit environment model, a three-dimensional description of a composite acetylcholine receptor defined by specific compound functional group-receptor interaction regions and their relative geometric positions to each other. Its relationship to the acetylcholine receptor-acetylcholinesterase-ionophore complex is discussed. Its potential use as a compound-receptor interaction reference template, in pharmacological drug design, toxicity and chemical hazards evaluation, and in vitro biochemical ligand-acetylcholine receptor-binding studies is discussed.
