A Hybrid Moment Method - GTD Technique for Analysis of Antennas Mounted on or Near Curved Surfaces

A hybrid technique which will analyze thin wire scatterers in the presence of a large conducting body is presented. This technique is quite general and applicable to a large class of problems. Two specific cases were chosen to demonstrate the usefulness of this approach. The first example given is of two piecewise sinusoidal dipoles arbitrarily positioned near an infinite, perfectly conducting cylinder. The second example provides a method for analyzing antennas mounted on the cylinder, such as a monopole. This solution is obtained as a perturbation of image theory. (Author)
