A Semigroup Approach to Partial Differential Equations with Delay

The objective of this investigation is to give sufficient conditions on f and g such that local semigroups can be associated with the equation (1). This will imply representation formulas for the solutions of (1), and secondly to discuss various notions of solutions which have arisen in the study of (1). Although only the autonomous equation is considered here, many of the results remain true if f and g depend on t. (Author)
