This volume consists of a series of appendices whose contents could not be included in the body of Volume I without breaking the continuity. The appendices describe topics that were studied during the course of the current contract but are only tangentially related to the theme of Volume I. Several references were made in Volume I to appendices in this volume for the details of specific methods. (Author)
