This study utilizes teeth stained in vitro to compare and evaluate the results of three commonly used non-vital bleaching techniques: the thermocatalytic, the 'walking bleach,' and the combination. The three techniques were equally effective in bleaching crowns where pulpal hemorrhage was the primary cause of discoloration. The rapidity of the 'walking bleach' technique in respect to a decrease of operator time was highly significant (p less than 0.0000). (Author)
