摘要

A solid state visible band sensor prototype is being developed at Lincoln Laboratory to improve the performance of the Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS) system. Four fiber optic tapered bundles with attached CCDs will provide a virtually seamless focal plane. Large area CCDs in a 420 x 420 format, which can be butted along two sides, are being developed by two suppliers for this program.
