Prospects for Reenlistment of Prior-Service Personnel

DMDC data were analyzed for prior-service and non prior-service enlisted personnel who entered or reentered the Navy during fiscal years 1974-1981. The characteristics of men in specific critical ratings were investigated to determine the numbers and qualities of personnel in each of the segments which developed. A final portion of the study investigated relationships among the segments and geographical recruiting locations.
