摘要

Acetic acid clusters, (CH3COOH)n, up to n = 10, were produced in a supersonic beam expansion and analyzed in a molecular beam quadrupole mass spectrometer. A general mechanism for their mass spectral fragmentation was deduced. Polarity of the first four clusters was determined in a molecular beam electric deflection experiment, providing evidence for their vapor-phase structure. (Author)
