Case of Subcutaneous and Cerebral Cysticercosis Treated with Praziquantel

Subcutaneous and cerebral cysticercosis occurred in a 38-year old woman who had multiple asymptomatic subcutaneous nodules and headache. Three months after praziquantel therapy some of the subcutaneous nodules, the headache and the intracranial lesion disappeared. Brain computerized tomography is essential in the diagnosis and follow-up of cerebral cysticercosis.
