The Second World Congress on Biomaterials highlighted important advances in fundamental and applied biomaterials science, and in clinical research on biomaterials. Technical sessions at this meeting emphasized materials for use in cardiovascular system, orthopedic materials, tissue interactions with biomaterials, dental materials, characterization of biomaterials, and biodegradation of implant materials.
