Leishmania tropica: Quantitation of in vitro Activity of Antileishmanial Agents by Giemsa Staining, Viability, and 3H-Formycin B Incorporation

In this report, antileishmanial activity determined by (1) Giemsa staining, is compared to that determined by (2) a measure of viability (the ability of amastigotes to transform into and multiply as promastigotes), and to (3) a novel method based on incorporation of 3H-formycin B.
