Numerical Study of Quenching of Inward Propagating Spherical Flames

摘要

The phenonmenon of quenching of cylindrical convergent flames is considered in the framework of constant density approximation. The parametric dependence of the effect is studied numerically using an adaptive finite element method. The numerical results are in good agreement with predictions of theoretical analysis from Frankel and Sivashinsky (1984).
