摘要

The purpose of this investigation was to develop a sensitive and specific method for identifying and characterizing neuroblastoma cells in bone marrow. Monoclonal antibodies (MAb) reactive with cell surface antigens and an antiserum reactive with cytoplasmic neuron specific enolase (NSE) were used in conjunction with immunoperoxidase staining. This procedure, which allows assessment of antigenic markers and tumor cell morphology, is sensitive enough to detect one tumor cell among one hundred thousand normal cells. It also can be used to phenotype tumor cells in marrow.
