摘要

The physicochemical phenomena associated with fluid flow in a evaporating ultrathin film of an ideal binary mixture in the contact line region are discussed. The effect of composition and temperature gradients on surface shear is analyzed and the results are compared with experimental trends. Although simple in concept, the constant vapor pressure boundary condition appears to be very useful in delineating the relative effects of surface tension, temperature and composition on fluid flow due to surface tension gradients in general.
