M55 Rocket Disposal Program Study M55-CS-01: Continued Storage Alternative

This report discusses current Army and Resource Conservation and Recovery ACt (RCRA) requirements as they pertain to the storage of 115mm M55 chemical rockets (GB and VX). This report contains recommendations for interim storage of up to five years and for longterm continued storage of up to 20 years. The study identifies storage configurations to be utilized, RCRA monitoring procedures, leaker detection and containerization procedures, and magazine filtering, as well as costs associated with continued storage alternatives.
