Micro-In vitro Test for Malaria and Drug Resistance in Irian Jaya: 28 and 48-Hour Incubation Yields Similar Probit Analysis Findings.

摘要

In Irian Jaya, the authors prolonged the incubation in the micro in vitro test and this led to the improvement of its success rate. Sixteen isolates were incubated for 28 hours and only 5 produced > or = 20 schizonts/200 asexual parasites in control wells, whereas in 48 hours 15 isolates did. It did not significantly affect the results of the probit analysis of the concentrations of chloroquine required to inhibit schizont maturation.
