Extended Travel Ultrahigh-Vacuum Sample Manipulator with Two Orthogonal, Independent Rotations

摘要

This reprint describes progress made in a number of areas. First, further improvements have been made in the measurement of inelastic electron tunneling spectra. Second, molecular beam scattering has been employed in continuing investigation of the activated adsorption of methane on the reconstructed Ir(110) surface. Finally, we have formulated a microscopic model to explain our measurements of the decomposition of ammonia and its inhibition by hydrogen over a platinum surface. (Author)
