M55 Rocket Disposal Program Study M55-CD-07: Concept Plan, Demilitarization of M55 Rockets at Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA)

This plan describes the current U.S. Army Toxic and Hazardous Materials Agency (USATHAMA) concept for conversion of BZ demilitarization facilities at Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA) to M55 rocket disposal facilities. Existing facilities and equipment would be used to the extent practible, and additional facilities and equipment would be provided for M55 processing. Life cycle costs for disposal of the PBA M55 inventory, and for co-located M55 inventories from Anniston Army Depot, Alabama, and Lexington-Blue Grass Depot Activity, Kentucky are presented. The study also examines the air quality/environmental impact of M55 operations at PBA.
