Air Force Geophysics Laboratory Management Information System Study

MITRE has conducted a study to define the management information needs of Air Force Geophysics Laboratory (AFGL) managers and to investigate alternative approaches for the implementation of a management information system (MIS) at AFGL. The study summarizes current management and administrative practices at AFGL. Requirements have been identified for automating several currently manual functions to compile accurate and timely information to better manage and plan AFGL programs. This document describes the functions and relative priorities of five MIS subsystems and provides suggestions for implementation solutions. Creation of a detailed Development Plan is recommended as the follow-on task. (Author)
