摘要

The acute oral toxicity of (E)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-6-methyl-1-(2-methyl-1-Oxo-2-Butenyl) Quinoline (CHR5) was determined in Sprague-Dawley rats by using the oral gavage single-dose method. The LD50 was 2.73 g/kg for male rats and 2.22 g/kg for female rats. CHR5 produces a syndrome of general malaise and appears to target the upper gastrointestinal tract and the central nervous system. The predominate GFI sign was increased salivation. CNS signs included loss of equilibrium, twitching, tremors, hypotonia, and depression of the grasping, pinch, pull, and righting reflexes.
