摘要

Phorbol esters are potent activators of protein Kinase C. Incubation of mouse neuroblastoma cells (clone N1E-115) with phorbol-12-myristate-13-acetate (PMA, 100 nM) for 60 min at 37 C resulted in conversion of pirenzepine multiple affinity states to a single low-affinity binding site. This effect of PMA is similar to that of receptor desensitization with agonists, although only the latter treatment results in an additional decrease in the total number of cell surface muscarinic receptors.
