Light-Induced Cleavage of DNA by Metal Complexes

摘要

Some preliminary findings on the properties and diversity of photoactivated cleavers of DNA are reported. A range of simple octahedral inorganic complexes are capable of inducing single-strand scissions by photoexcitation of different absorption bands. This cleavage can be induced by metal complexes known to bind in different manners to DNA.
