Prediction and Analysis of Testability Attributes: Organizational-Level Testability Prediction

A program was undertaken to develop prediction procedures for organizational-level testability attributes. This report describes the first phase of that effort: the establishment of definitions and mathematical frameworks, together with the feasibility of continuing to pursue the ultimate objective of developing a model that will predict the testability attributes. The initial phase has concentrated on the three most commonly specified descriptors of system testability: fraction of faults detected (FFD); fraction of faults isolated (FFI), and fraction of false alarms (FFA).
