摘要

An experimental investigation was conducted to examine the effects of fuel-air ratios, fuel composition and smoke-suppressant fuel additives on the sooting characteristics of a T-63 combustor. Multiple wavelength light transmission and two angle light scattering measurements were used to measure the mean soot diameter. Ferrocene, 12% Cerium Hex-Cem and USLAD 2055 were found effective in reducting exhaust gas opacity. Initial results were conflicting on the cause for the reduced opacity.
