Cross-Beam Polarization in Flames with a Pulsed Dye Laser

摘要

A cross beam polarization spectrometry technique is applied to a pulsed dye laser in flames. Saturation, curve of growth, and dependence of the polarization signal on the crossing angel between the probe and pump beams have been experimentally investigated. The results indicate that polarization spectroscopy is a promising technique in the area of combustion diagnostics.
