Meteorological Data Error Estimates

To meet range users, need for uniform and realistic quotations of the validity of environmental data to determine the reliability of test results, the Meteorology Group complied standard error estimates for meteorological data. Table 1 contains pressure, temperature and density versus altitude from the 1976 Standard Atmosphere and is included to assist users in determining the approximent altitude range which corresponds to the various values of upper air meteorological parameters. Table 2 contains a list of Conversion Factors for Commonly Used Units. Also, data representing error estimates of upper air meteorological parameters obtained by the new Meteorological Sounding System are included.
