摘要

The boundary element method is used to obtain weight functions for three-dimensional solids containing cracks. A singular displacement field analogous to the two-dimensional Bueckner field is derived for a planar rectilinear crack subjected to equal and opposite localized forces on the crack surface. This field is prescribed around a small cylindrical cavity along the crack front and the boundary element method is used to obtain weight functions for an edge cracked rectangular bar.
