Synthesis and X-ray Structure of Cis-1,3-Di-Tert-Butyl-2,4-Bis(Pentafluorophenoxy)-1,3,2,4- Diazadiphosphetidine

Lithium penetafluorophenoxide was reacted with cis-1,3-di-tert-butyl-2,4-dichloro-1,3,2,4-diazaphosphetidine in a mixture of diethyl ether and hexane at -78 C to form cis-1,3-di-tert-butyl-2,4-bis(pentafluorophenoxy)-1,3,2,4- diazaphosphetidine. An X-ray crystal structure determination confirmed the existence of the cis isomer.
