Higher Order Terms in the Expressions of Spheroidal Eigenvalues

摘要

The higher order terms of eigenvalues in spheroidal differential equation are developed by using power series expansion and asymptotic expansions for both prolate and oblate wave functions, these important multipole expansions greatly facilitate and improve computations of electromagnetic scattering by different kinds of spheroids with various focal parameters, refractive indices, and aspect ratios.
