Feasibility Study, Microcomputer Expert System for Federal Contract Management

摘要

A microcomputer-based expert system to be used in managing federal contract changes was found to be both necessary as indicated by potential user comments, and feasible within the realm of current expert system software shells . The knowledge domain of contract changes was determined to be sufficiently structured and defined to support a floppy disk sized expert system which would not require supplementary manuals as documentation. A demonstration system was developed to test the available system shells and a description of a wider system which would address additional contracting areas was discussed. Development of a functional system presently awaits assignments of additional resources.
