Satellite Autonomous Navigation with SHAD (Stellar Horizon Atmospheric Dispersion)

The primary objective of this study was to generate some indication of the autonomous navigation accuracy that can be achieved with the SHAD concept for various representative satellite orbits. This was accomplished by conducting a covariance analysis utilizing a Kalman filter to sequentially process the measurements as they occur during orbit operation.
