摘要

Recently there has been considerable interest in the determination of the lifetimes of spin-forbidden radiative processes within the context of the Breit-Pauli approximation using ab initio electronic structure techniques. Much of this work centered on the transitions in imidogen (NH) and the nitrogen halides NF and NCl. These states originate from the electron configuration pi sq. The a delta yields X3 epsilon transition derives its intensity through coupling to II, II spaces whose reference states are valence in character.
