Fast Algorithms for Structural Optimization, Least Squares and Related Computations

This final report contains a permanent record of the progress and significant accomplishments in performance of the research effort. The primary focus of this research project has been the design and testing of new algorithms for matrix computations with particular applications to least squares and optimization methods in structural analysis, Markov analysis, signal processing and related problems in science and engineering. The objectives were to develop, test, and analyze fast numerical algorithms for the efficient solution to large scale problems on modern high performance architectures. (jes)
