Establishment of Master- and Reference-Calibration Rounds

This document describes techniques for conducting firings to establish master-, reference-and interim-calibration lots for artillery, tank, mortar, and recoilless rifle ammunition at Army proving grounds. It also discusses procedures for performing check firings and for assessing the effects of substitute components on a master, reference or interim calibration lot. The authorization for master and reference calibration rounds is contained in TECOM Regulation No. 702-1, the provisions of which are the subject of international standardization.
