摘要

In our early work on polynuclear metal compounds with bridging alkylidyne ligands we employed as a precursor the compound W(=CC6HMe-4)(CO)2(eta-C5H5). In this paper we introduce a further class of mononuclear metal alkylidyne complex for use in the preparation of compounds having metal metal bonds. In the new reagents, the molybdenum or tungsten atoms are ligated by the alkylidyne group CC6H4OMe-2, the arene ring of which is eta-co- ordinated to a Cr(CO)3 moiety. The resulting products thus contain an additional metal-ligand fragment. Reprints. (mjm)
