摘要

A linear wiggler design has been developed which is compatible with micro-fabrication techniques and is capable of producing uniform, multi-kilogauss fields at millimeter and sub-millimeter periods. The wiggler configuration employes a 3D winding pattern which results in reduced field errors due to edge effects. A 3cm prototype has been constructed and tested, and a 1.5mm period wiggler is presently being fabricated. Measured performance of the prototype is compared to calculations based on the POISSON Group codes. Reprints. (jhd)
