Hyperbolic Kepler's Equation, and the Elliptic Equation Revisited.

A procedure is developed that, in two iterations, solves the hyperbolic Kepler's equation in a very efficient manner, and to an accuracy that proves to be always better than 10 to the minus 20th power (relative truncation error). Earlier work on the elliptic equation has been extended by the development of a new procedure that solves to a maximum relative error of 10 to the minus 14th power. Keywords: Great Britain. (kr)
