摘要

Agile steering of a Helium-Neon laser beam (lambda = 632.8nm) has been demonstrated using a complementary pair of 5-cm-aperture diffractive microlens arrays in the Galilean telescopic geometry. Having as many as 60,000 F/5 microlenses, each with parabolic phase profile and 200 micrometers diameter, results in nearly aberration-free beam steering over 11 deg. field of view for top + or - 100 micrometers lateral displacements of one array relative to the other. Wavefront quality and steering efficiency of the deflected beam has been measured as a function of steering angle and is compared to a simple theoretical model. Keywords: Agile steering; Helium neon laser beam; Diffractive microlens arrays. Reprints. (jhd)
